Words That Won’t Let Me Defy One Law of Physics

The other day, I was at a networking meeting and the group discussed what success meant to each person. I offered that success comes when, at the end of the day, I could look at myself in the mirror and know I did my best work.

Then I realized what I said.

No one can physically look at themselves in a mirror. A person can only look at his or her reflection in a mirror.

You might say I’m splitting hairs, that everyone knows what I mean when I talk about looking in a mirror.

But I deal in words, and if I’m using the right words, I can’t look myself in the mirror.

Nor can I look into my eyes. Nor can you look into your own eyes. Et cetera.

Think about it.

Until next time! Use the right words!
