Apostrophe’s Needed

I don’t usually write about punctuation, but today’s exception comes courtesy of my gym.

What is supposed to be painted over the entrance to each locker room is the gender, plural form, and the words “LOCKER ROOM.”

What is says is “MENS LOCKER ROOM” and “WOMENS LOCKER ROOM.”

Of course, the apostrophe is missing, but just for fun, I checked the dictionary to see if mens and womens were words. They aren’t.

The lesson here: Sometimes you need punctuation to make a word.

Until next time! Use the right words!
