Definitive Proof Donald Sterling is a Racist

By now, you’ve probably heard Los Angeles Clippers owner Donal Sterling’s comments that have caused him to be labeled a racist and have caused the NBA to ban him for live and work to sell the team.

Sterling has apologized for his comments but denies he’s a racist. I understand that it is not socially acceptable to come out and say, “Yes, I’m racist,” so I’m not surprised by Sterling’s comments, or the comments by others who claim he’s not racist.

But he is, and the proof is in the words.

Racist means one who believes “that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.”

This definition requires one to also look up race, which in this case means “a class or kind of people who unified by community of interests, habits, or by characteristics.” Skin color is an example.

So, when Sterling says he doesn’t want someone to bring black people to games, he implies he finds that group of people inferior to him or his group of people (i.e., white people).

Words don’t lie.

Until next time! Use the right words!
