As Opposed to the Fake Question?

Oh, some of the utterances that leave our mouths make me wonder.

The latest example I’ve heard: Somebody wanting to emphasize the question he or she is about to ask says, “The real question is …”

As opposed to the fake question?

Every question is real. In fact, everything that comes out of our mouths is real (unless we’re dreaming).

If questions were human, wouldn’t the questions that get asked before “the real question” feel less important? I would say so, which is why the proper thing to say is, “The important question is …”

Now, some questions might be dumb, and some would counter that there are no dumb questions. But there are dumb people.

Until next time! Use the right words!
