As Opposed to Someone Else’s Life?

Every once in a while, I hear somebody say, “We’ve got to live your life” or “I’ve got to live my life.”

Today, I heard Taylor Swift, on Radio Disney, “You’ve got to live your life.”

One question: What other life can we live? I can think of several people’s lives I might want to live, but Taylor Swift’s is not one of them.

Like the soap opera said, we’ve got but “One Life to Live.” As REO Speedwagon said, “Live Every Moment.” As the Eagles said, “Life in the fast lane surely makes you lose your mind.”

But I’m digressing, so I’d better get back to my life.

I now invite you to return to your regularly scheduled life.

Until next time! Use the right words!
