Ork, “V” and Giving Birth

I read an article in Time magazine last week about how the stigma of miscarriage is becoming less so, but it was one partial sentence in the last column, third-to-last paragraph, that got me thinking.

I read, “… who has since given birth to a baby …”

Can anyone give birth to anything other than a baby? As far as I know, no.

This isn’t Ork, and Jonathan Winters isn’t hatching from any egg that Robin Williams laid.

Nor is this “V,” and no lizard baby twins are coming out of the Robin character.

Until next time! Use the right words!
