As a “Patient,” I Appreciate Your “Patience”

I’m not a doctor. I don’t play one on TV. But I fancy myself a word doctor, one who has the “write” prescription.

I got an email recently from a vendor who is behind three months in paying me. She knows this, and wrote a three-paragraph  email, which ended with, “Thanks again for all your help thus far and I appreciate your patients in this matter.”

Again, I’m not a doctor, so I don’t have patients. I do, however, have patience, but even I have limits — and a quarter of a year is my limit.

Until next time! Use the right words!
