Homework For a Living

I pick up my daughter from school today. She happily announced that she didn’t have any homework to do.

That got me thinking: I work at home. Is the work I do considered homework?

As always, the dictionary provides the answer: “piecework done at home for pay.”

Of course, it also means “an assignment given to a student to be completed outside the regular class period.”

But it’s good to know that these posts — and much of what I’ve written he past 11 years — is homework.

Until next time! Use the right words!

It’s here! My début book, “If You Experience Death, Please Call: And Other Fatal Mistakes We Make With Language” is out and available on Amazon. Order now for just $14.95. Contact me on my website to reserve your copy or Order here.
